Darrell Eugene Giles, 73, High Point, NC passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Born in the Purchase Ridge Community of Scott County, VA on February 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Leonard and Thelma Virginia Smith Giles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wheeler and Emily Rhoton Smith; paternal grandparents, Pierce and Ann Patton Carter Giles; and a very dear sister, Emily Ann Giles Beisser.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Candi and Abnan Raza, High Point, NC; four sisters, Jewel Giles Horton Harrell, Kingsport, TN, Shirley Giles Russell and husband, Wallace, Jonesville, SC, Betty Giles Bostic, Duffield, VA, and Barbara Giles Martin and husband, Les, Terra Alta, WV; two brothers, Billy Giles and wife, Phyllis, Gate City, VA, and Danny Giles and wife, Angie, Duffield, VA; 5 grandchildren, 13 nephews, 3 nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation and private graveside services will be conducted at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating.
