Gertrude Thacker Lark – Yuma, VA

Gertrude T. Lark, 83, Yuma, VA passed away, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at her residence.

She was born in Surgoinsville, TN on September 18, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Mandy Thacker.

In addition to her mother, her sisters Debbie Willis and Ida Ruth Gillenwater and brother, Charlie Winegar preceded her in death.

Surviving is her husband, Ralph Lark, sons, Randy and Carolyn Lark, Yuma, VA, and Allen and Crystal Lark, Kingsport, TN, grandsons, Logan Lark, Syracuse, NY, and Ryan Lark, Yuma, VA, brother, Jimmy Winegar, Yuma, VA, sisters, Stella and Truman Calton, Kingsport, TN, and Lorene Tester, Gray, TN, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00, Saturday, April 22 , 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pete Barbour and Scott Fields officiating.  Charlie Thacker and sisters will be providing the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the Midway Community Cemetery.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 p.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
