Gerald Lynn McCall – Gate City, VA

Gerald Lynn McCall, 75, Gate City, VA passed away, Friday, January 27, 2023, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Gerald was born in Welch, WV on May 15, 1947, and was the son of the late Edward and Eleanor (Shrader) McCall Etter.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Alice Virginia (Caudill) McCall.

He served in the Marine Corps from 1965 – 1969 and was a Vietnam veteran.

He also served in the active National Guard from 1985- 1989.

He was retired as an Import Specialist with the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.

Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Kathy McCall, daughter, Heather Richard (Adam), sons, Kevin McCall, Jason McCall (Ginger), Travis Hammonds, Daniel Lane, Benjamin McCall, (Stephanie), and Dustin) McCall (Brooke), grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsey (Henry), Alexis (Kelsie), Dawson (Chloe), Chloe, Kolby, Bryson, Logan, Michael, Joshua, Tanner, Aiden, Alison, Joey, Killian, Madisyn, Connor. Colton, and Paisley, 3 great grandchildren, Guinevere, Delilah, and Leo, and an expectant great grandson due in June of 2023, brother, Ronald McCall (Gloria), and several nieces and nephews.

It was his wish to be cremated and a Celebration of Life was held by his family at Natural Tunnel on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
