Elizabeth Roller Jennings Fuller-formerly of Scott Co., VA
Elizabeth Fuller, 94, went to be with Jesus in the arms of her daughter at the Springs Nursing Home in Hot Springs, VA on December 9, 2017.
She was born on July 18, 1923 in Appalachia, VA and was the daughter of the late Henry and Gertie Roller of Robinette Valley, VA.
She worked as a cashier at the Food Shop and Thrift Way grocery stores in Gate City, VA. Mrs. Fuller was an active member of First Baptist Church of Weber City, VA.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother. Her greatest pleasure was her family and supporting them. She loved cooking a meal for anyone that stopped by for a visit. In 2012, due to her declining health, she moved in with her daughter in Hot Springs, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Kenneth Gordon Jennings (1947); her loving husband, Guyle Fuller (1986); sons, Larry Jennings (2016) and Gordon Jennings (2017).
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Mackey and husband, A. B., Hot Springs, VA; step-daughter, Patricia Burke and husband, Ronald, Gate City, VA; step-sons, Palma Fuller, Gray, TN, and Weldon Fuller and wife, Martha, KY; 5 grandchildren, Jeffery Jennings and wife, Tutti, Gate City, VA, Mary Beth Matlock and husband, Bryon, Nickelsville, VA, Chad Jennings and wife, Susanne, Houston, TX, Reverend Todd Jennings and wife, Amanda, Mt. Carmel, TN, and Kenneth Mackey and wife, Holly, Oviedo, FL; 10 great-grandchildren, Justin Castle and wife, Tiffany, Audrianna Jennings, Wil Jennings and wife, Nikki, John, Jordon, and Bryse Matlock, Sydney, Ethan, Maddison, and Emma Jennings, and Morgan Mackey; several great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Kaye Jennings, Kingsport, TN, Janice Jennings, Yuma, VA, and Velma Vicars, Gate City, VA; sister, Opal Arnold and husband, Donald, Weber City, VA; niece, Donna Jones and husband, Terry, Kingsport, TN; several step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; a loving caregiver, Linda Gardzinski.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Lester Moorelock officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Jeffery Jennings, Chad Jennings, Todd Jennings, Kenneth Mackey, Justin Castle, Wil Jennings, Bryon Matlock, and John Matlock will serve as pallbearers.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral by 10:30 a.m.
