Georgia Esther Fritz, 94, Duffield, VA passed away, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Esther was born in Scott County, VA on July 7, 1920 and was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Mullins Edens.
In addition to her parents; her husband, Thomas Fritz; sister, Myrtle Edens; brothers, Frank, Henry, Arthur, William and Roscoe Edens preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Blevins and husband, Ken, Louisville, KY; sons, Ron Fritz and wife, Dorothy, Big Stone, VA, Don Fritz and wife, Linda, Penhook, VA, Jim Fritz and wife, Carol, Kingsport, TN, Ricky Fritz and wife, Kathy, Duffield, VA; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; along with several nieces, nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Jasper Freewill Baptist Church, Jasper, VA with Pastor Wayne Thomas officiating. The Jasper FWBC Quartet will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Edens Family Cemetery, Jasper, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
