Mary Stapleton Fraysier

Mary Jean Stapleton Fraysier – Gate City, VA Mary Fraysier went to be with her Lord on February 27, 2011, at her residence. Born September 21, 1936, she was a lifelong resident of Scott County, and a member of Peter Chapel Church. Mary retired from Scott County Telephone Cooperative after 21 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents Kainey Stapleton, Sr. and Monnie Minton Stapleton. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Stapleton, and Kaniey (Junior) Stapleton, two sisters, Hattie Lois Moore, and Wanda Sue Stapleton. She is survived by her husband Willie Scott (Bill) Fraysier of 36 years.
Also surviving are four sisters-in-law, Cricket Wallace and husband Lee of Blountville, TN, Mary Gillenwater and husband Don of Kingsport, TN, Ethel Frasier of Ft. Blackmore, VA and Joanne Fraysier of Ft. Blackmore, VA, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mary will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. George Pearce and Rev. Joe Roberts officiating.
Graveside services will be held Friday March 4, 2011 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kingsport, TN at 1:00 p.m. Those attending will meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. Roger Fraysier, Charlie McDavid, James White, Bob Frasier, Mike Darnell and Blake Frasier will serve as pallbearers.
