Ina Ruth Stallard Fraysier – Gate City, VA
Ina Ruth Stallard Fraysier, 89, Gate City, VA entered into rest with the Lord, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Ruth was born in Fort Blackmore, VA on July 17, 1928 and was the daughter of the late William (Will) and Maude Jones Stallard.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Reverend Fletcher Fraysier; daughter, Peggy Irene Fraysier; brother, Ray Stallard; son-in-law, Roy Roger Brickey; and daughter-in-law, Angelina Fraysier preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Fletcher Ross Fraysier, Kingsport, TN; daughters, Deanna Brickey, Ft. Blackmore, VA, Kathy (Gail) McConnell, Ft. Blackmore, VA, and Judy (Buford) Quillin, Kingsport, TN; precious grandchildren, Roger Lynn Brickey, Ross Junior (Kim) Fraysier, Richard (Pam) Fraysier, Jonathan (Kristy) McConnell, David (Autumn) McConnell, Melissa Fraysier, Josh Quillin, and Adam (Amanda) Quillin; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Her loving sisters, who are her best friends, Kathleen Thompson, Gate City, VA and Jean (Ray) Adams, Greenville, TN will also miss her presence in their lives.
A very special thanks to her neighbors and friends and also Alice Rogers with HMG, and to the nurses and staff of Advanced Home Health and Caris Hospice Health Care.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Gene Stallard and Bro. Wayne Stallard officiating. The Quillin Family will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Fraysier Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Gate City Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Saturday for those who wish to go in procession to the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local church in honor of Ruth.
