William Lewis Francisco – Nickelsville, VA
William Lewis Francisco, 75, Nickelsville, VA passed away, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Francisco was born in Scott County, VA on September 20, 1939 to the late James Edward, SR. and Ethel Minerva Fugate Francisco.
He was a lifelong resident of Scott County, VA and was a farmer and saw mill operator with his father.
He was a born again Christian and loved gospel music.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law, Barnie Kilgore preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Kilgore, Nickelsville, VA; brother, James E. Francisco, Jr. and wife, Zola, Nickelsville, VA; nieces, Penny Wood and husband, Jim, Donna Rudder and husband, Ricky, and Audra Falin and husband, Jeff; nephew, Jeff Francisco and wife, Dawn; several great nieces and great nephews; along with special friends, D’Lynn Lawson, Ralph Cain, Ginger Newberry, Harold and Pat Dougherty, Matt Gordon, Dorothy Qualls (RN MEOC), and Sheila Dixon.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. G.W. White, Rev. Riley Boy, and Dr. Todd Cassell officiating. Greg and Becky White and Doris Ann Jonas will provide the music.
Burial will follow at the Francisco Cemetery on Big Moccasin in the Snowflake community of Scott County, VA. Matt Gordon, Ralph Cain, Harold Dougherty, Robin Kilgore, Martin Kilgore, Mark Kilgore, Jimmy Wood, and Jeffery Quinn Francisco will serve as pallbearers. Jeff Falin, Roy Horchak, and Larry Moore will serve as honorary pallbearers.
