Margaret Joan Francisco, 89, Nickelsville, VA passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Francisco was born in Scott County, VA on December 26, 1920 to the late Lloyd and Lois Addington Gilley. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church and was the last surviving graduate of Midway High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George William Francisco (2010), great granddaughter, Sidda Lee Francisco, and brothers, John B. Gilley and Jack Gilley.
Surviving Mrs. Francisco is her daughter, Linda Lou Taylor; son, Doyle Francisco and wife, LaMerle; grandchildren, Bobby Taylor, Bryant William Francisco, and Anna Marguerite Francisco; great grandchildren, Logan Chase Pearcy and Kennedy Charla Francisco; nephew, Ronald Hackney, and a special friend, Peggy Addington Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in the Juanita S. Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Joe Barber officiating and a eulogy given by LaMerle Francisco. Chris Holder will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. James S. Osborne, Jimmy McConnell, Donald L. Wood, Denny Babb, William David Gilmer, and Bryant William Francisco will serve as pallbearers. Mack Gilliam, Tom H. Addington, Pat Addington, Gary Taylor, Larry Fleenor, and C.L. Easterling will serve as honorary pallbearers.
