Jason Lee Forkner, 34, Bristol, VA went to be with the Lord at home after a short illness.
Jason was born in Fort Gordon, GA on November 27, 1981. He was the son of Mary Anne and Martin J. “Butch” Beaton.
He is survived by his sons, Austin Lee Forkner and Aiden Dean Forkner, both of Gastonia, NC, his parents, Mary Anne and Martin J.”Butch” Beaton, Bristol, VA; girlfriend, Joni Honeycutt and her children, Meagan, Riley, and Maddie Honeycutt, Bristol, VA; paternal grandparents, Walter and June Beaton, Bristol, VA; aunts and uncles, Jerry and Debbie Watson, Charlotte, NC and Edwin and Vivian Herrington, Durham, NC; cousins, Allen Watson and David Smith, both of Charlotte, NC; along with several other family members and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Billy Riner officiating.
A reception will follow the service at the Gate City Funeral Home.
