Clarence Wilmer Fletcher, 89, Rye Cove, VA passed away, Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Fletcher was born in Scott County, VA on January 25, 1927 to the late Charlie and Bertha Hartgrove Fletcher.
He worked in research with Tennessee Eastman until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, his sisters, Bernice Fletcher and Ruby Horton; and brother, Hagan Fletcher preceded him in death.
His survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Sue Fletcher, Rye Cove, VA; sister, Emogene Wright, Rye Cove, VA; brother, Bobby Fletcher and wife, Mary Sue, Rye Cove, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Gate City Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow the visitation at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with a eulogy given by Bobby Duncan. Terry Kilgore, Kyle Kilgore, Scottie Duncan, Eddie Wright, Bobby Duncan, and Bobby Fletcher will serve as pallbearers. His former co-workers at Tennessee Eastman, Dale Edwards, Bill Adams, and Ronnie Qualls will serve as honorary pallbearers.
