Mikey Ray Finch, Sr. 69, Dungannon, VA passed away, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at his residence.
Mikey was born in in Scott County, VA on February 23, 1952, and was the son of the Victor Elbert and Sadie Cecil (Cassell) Finch, Sr.
He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather, who will be missed by all. He loved horses and going on wagon trains. He also loved to whittle.
In addition to his parents, his sisters, Peggy Sandridge, Tempie Finch, Maxie Hurd, and Wanda Burton, and brother, Howard Finch, and nephew, Bill Finch, and his favorite dog, Petey preceded him in death.
Surviving Mikey is his loving wife of 31 years, Mary “Mommy” Finch, of the home, son, Mikey Ray “Bubby” Finch, Jr., of the home, stepsons, Jeff Stansberry, Nickelsville, VA, Greg Stansberry and girlfriend, Casandra McDavid, Gate City, VA, Larry Stansberry, Gate City, VA, and Gary Stansberry, Gate City, VA, step grandson, Jeffery Chase Stansberry, Nickelsville, VA, sister, Mary Helen Page, Dungannon, VA, brothers, Tommy Finch, Dungannon, VA, Victor Elbert Finch, Jr. and wife, Lorraine, sisters-in-law, Ruby Culbertson, JoAnn Culbertson, and Linda Clevinger and husband, Jessee, brothers-in-law, James Hale, Fred Hale, David Hale, and Ronnie Hale, all of Nickelsville, VA, and Mark Hale, Gate City, VA, his companion, Baby Girl, several special nieces and nephews, who he raised as his own, along with other nieces and nephews.
It was the wish of Mikey to be cremated.
The family will receive friends anytime at his residence or at the home of his sister, Mary Helen Page.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
