Charles was born in Sullivan County, TN on April 29, 1956 to the late Ida Virginia (Burton) and Billy Charles Finch.
Along with his parents, an infant brother, Bobby Ray Finch preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Betty J. (Culbertson) Finch, Gate City, VA; daughter Deidre Jolene Barrera (Felipe), Nickelsville, VA; sons, Derek Glenn Sluss, Gate City, VA, Steven Chuck Finch (Brittany), Nickelsville, VA; sisters, Maxie Finch (William), Nickelsville, VA, Betty Finch, Nickelsville, VA, Jan Finch (Bobby Joe), Castlewood, VA; brothers, Roger Finch (Shelby) Nickelsville, VA, Tommy Finch (Cindy) Nickelsville, VA; grandchildren, Kya Bennett, Chloe Rain, Noah Sluss, Zoey Sky, Brantley Ryder, and an expected grandchild in January 2020; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday June 23, 2019 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Randy Sluss delivering the Eulogy. The Sluss Family will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Culbertson Cemetery in Nickelsville, VA. Family and friends will be meeting at the Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. to go into procession to the graveside service.
