Barbara Irine Kilgore Finch, 85, Gate City, VA passed away, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.
Mrs. Finch was born in Scott County, VA on October 16, 1926 to the late J.Lee and Goldie Vileta Johnson Kilgore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Andy Finch, and daughter, Regina Elliott and son, C.L. Finch.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ruth Boggs, Salley Cleek and husband, David, Sissy Babb and husband, Ricky, Susan Flanary and husband, Danny, Jerelen Ownes and husband, Mike, and Rita Cumbo ;sons, Wayne Finch and wife, Caressa, Ricky Finch and wife, Melissa, and James Finch; special granddaughter, Maryann Cleek along with several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters; Nanny Marshall and Phyllis Keith; brothers, , Fred Kilgore, and Hubert Kilgore; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Cecil Kern and Rev. Denny Hass officiating. Working Toward the Promise will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Kern Cemetery, Rye Cove, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
