Christine Lucas Fields – Kingsport, TN
Christine Lucas Fields, 90, passed away, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Holston Manor, Kingsport, TN.
Christine was born in Scott County, VA on January 24, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Troy and Lakie Jane Gibson Lucas.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Thurman C. Fields; stepson, Jerry Fields; sisters, Peggy Cox and Zelma Williams preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Crites, Weber City, VA; granddaughters, Kristen Hayes-Mowell, Graham, NC, Patricia Hayes, Kingsport, TN, Jonnie Hayes, Charleston, SC and Krisinda Prodell, Republic, MI; grandson, Robert Fields, Republic, MI; sister, Dovie Guy, Weber City, VA; brothers, Clyde Lucas, Nickelsville, VA, Jarvey Lucas, Nickelsville, VA and John Lucas and wife, Patsy, Dungannon, VA; great grandchildren, Lakyn Hayes, Matthew and wife Emily Mowell, Grace Mowell, Kylie Shields, Drake Shields, Cooper Rollins, Leslie Johnson, Melinda Perry; along with a very special niece, Kalli Lucas and many other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Larry Beavers officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Matthew Mowell, Ronnie Lucas, Jason Lucas, Glen Nickels, Tim Mowell, Johnny Cox, Randy Finch and Dean Williams will serve as pallbearers. Drake Shields, Robert Fields, Marty Williams, Ben Lucas, Randall Nickels, Sammy Finch, Lynn Lucas, Ricky Lucas and Gary Cox will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
