Hansford "Dassie" Falin – Duffield, VA
Mr. Hansford "Dassie" Falin, 82, Duffield, VA passed away, Monday, February 25, 2013 at Lonesome Pine Medical Center.
Mr. Falin was born in Scott County, VA on May 30, 1930 to the late Ransom and Emmer Falin.
In addition to his parents, his son, Buddy Falin; sisters, Geneva and Evelyn; and brothers, Laranza and William Falin preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Vickie Cleek, Gate City, VA, Lisa Hutchins and husband, John, Mt. Carmel, TN, Susan Rose, Weber City, VA; Jeff Falin, Duffield, VA; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; special niece, Mary Davis, Weber City, VA; childhood friends, George Falin, OH, VA and Billy Joe Watts, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Falin Family Cemetery in the Sloan Town community of Scott County, VA conducted by Evangelist Kenneth Neeley. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:45 a.m., Thursday for the graveside service.
The family wished to convey a special thank you to the staff of the Kingston Center, Duffield, VA, Heritage Hall, Big Stone, VA, and Wellmont Lonesome Pine for their love and care of Mr. Falin.
