Evelyn Madeline Falin, 69, Duffield, VA passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Scott County, VA on August 16, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ransom and Emmer Gordon Falin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Falin, son, Randy Falin, step daughter, Debbie Kimberlin, sister, Geneva Davis and brothers, Loranza Falin and William Falin.
Survivors include her daughters, Frankie Falin, Weber City, VA, Lora "Doodle" Wolfe and husband, Tony, Kingsport, TN and Scherrie Falin, Duffield, VA, step sons, Ricky Falin, Kingsport, TN and Denny Falin, OH, grandchildren, Melinda Gill, Anthony Wolfe, Steven Falin, Chris Falin, Gloria Falin, Kalya Marcum, and Daniel Wolfe, brother, Hansford Falin, Duffield, VA, and her special friend, Billy Jo Watts, Gate City, VA, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m. — 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Kenneth Davis will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Falin Family Cemetery in the Sloantown community of Scott County, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Glenn Gillenwater will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
