Wallace Falin, 80, Johnson City, TN passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center, Johnson City, TN.
Wallace was born in Scott County, VA on March 26, 1934 to the late Leroy and Maxie Sloan Falin. He was retired from General Motors, Flint, MI after 31 years of service.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, son, Gregory Wallace Falin; wife and mother of his children, Ruth Falin; sisters, Emogene Johnson, Elizabeth Pounder, and Patricia Bloomer; and brother, Wadell Falin preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Connie Eidson and husband, Wayne, Kingsport, TN, Pam Pittam and husband, Gary, Grand Blanc, MI, and Karen Fischer and husband, David, Gray, TN; grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Jordan, Chelsea, Sami, Mel, Sara, and Rachel; great grandchildren, Brycen and Brynn; brothers, Norman Falin and wife, Gladys, Kingsport, TN and Roy Falin, Duffield, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home.
Military graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Flint Memorial Park, Mount Morris, MI. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers at the VA-CLC in Johnson City, TN.
