Clora Falin – Duffield, VA
Mrs. Clora Vadus Falin, 95, Duffield, VA entered into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Mrs. Falin was born in Scott County, VA on August 17, 1916, the daughter of the late Johnny and Myrtle Watts Falin.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Balaam Falin; sons, Leonard Clay Falin and Bobby Falin; 4 brothers; 3 sisters, and 1 grandson.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosa Lee Williams and husband, Clell, Duffield, VA, Pauline Hammonds and husband, Claude, Duffield, VA, and Pearl Egan and husband, Roy, Duffield, VA; sons, Franklin Falin and wife, Carol, Kingsport. TN. and Ronnie Falin and fiancée, Nellie Barnette, Wise, VA; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Eden officiating. Way of the Cross will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the Falin Cemetery in the Sloan Town community of Scott County, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
