Lucy Estep, 85, Dungannon, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Lucy was born in Wise County, VA October 14, 1933 to the late Eura Easter Fannon.
Her husband Orbin Estep, Jr. preceded her in death.
Lucy was a life long farmer, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was also a member of the Dungannon Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Bobby (Debbie) Estep, Dungannon, VA, Ronald (Paula) Estep, Dungannon, VA, Donald Estep, Dungannon, VA; sister, Darlene Adkins, Dungannon, VA; brother, Johnny (Peggy) Fannon, Abingdon, VA; grandchildren, Larry (Tiffanie) Epperson, Shawn (Linsky) Epperson, Angela Estep and partner Bonnie Headley; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Epperson, Kiana Epperson, Brittany Epperson, Lexi Lane, Sean Paul Epperson; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Gate City Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on March 5th, 2019 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home or any other time at the home of Darlene Adkins.
Funeral services will be conducted on March 6th, 2019 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Walter Taylor officiating. The Meade Family, Larry and Kiana Epperson will be providing music.
Burial will follow at Banner Cemetery, Dungannon, VA. Larry Epperson, Craig Jacobs, David Hyatt, Kim Adkins, Ethan Salyer, and Colton Salyer will serve as pallbearers. Jackie Perry, Adam Harvey, Greg Robinson, Billy Dooley, Albert Estep will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of 4317 room at Johnson City Medical Center for being so caring, respectful, and kind. Thank you to Dr. Morris and Dr. Patel.
The family would also like to thank everyone who have visited, called, and texted for their thoughts and prayers.
