Emmel Lillian Kimbler – Fort Blackmore, VA

Emmel Lillian Kimbler, 90, Fort Blackmore, VA, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at Bristol Hospice House.

Emmel was born in Scott County, VA, on September 1, 1932, to the late Rufus Leonard Kimbler and Eliza Elizabeth (Compton) Kimbler.

In addition to her parents, seven sisters, five brothers, one niece, three nephews, and one great niece preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews, Paul Sanders, Glenda Head, Kathy Harris (Richard), Lawton Stallard (Judy), Wanda Shipley (Richard); several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and several other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Kimbler Family Cemetery with Rev. Gene Stallard officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00p.m., to go in procession to the graveside service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to give a special thanks to NOVA Health & Rehab, and Bristol Hospice House for their love and care of Emmel.
