Mildred "Janice" McConnell Elliott, 72, Cleveland, OH and formerly of Scott County, VA passed away, Monday, January 20, 2014 in Cleveland, OH.
Mildred was born in Scott County, VA on December 2, 1941 to the late Ernett Conrade and Bessie Broadwater McConnell.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Bill Elliott; sisters, Faye Stallard, Violet Addington, Joann Osborne, and brother, Jack McConnell preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Clark and husband, Terry, Kingsport, TN; son, Steve Elliott, Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, McKayla Elliott, Cleveland, OH, Charity Shepherd and husband, Nathan, Jonesborough, TN, Ashley Suarez and husband, Bernardo, Mexico City, Mexico, Sara Gaffney and husband, Sean, Asheville, NC ; great grandchildren, Averie Shepherd, Jonesborough, TN and Elijah Suarez, Mexico City, Mexico; sister, Betty Herron, Gate City, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with her nephew, Ernie Addington officiating.
A committal service will be conducted following the service. Burial will be in Elliott Cemetery in the Midway community of Scott County, VA.
