Bobby Wilson Elliott, 83, of Gate City, VA passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital.
Born in Scott County, Virginia on January 17, 1936, he was the son of the late Dowell Harmon (D.H.) and Bessie Mae (Frazier) Elliott.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Anna Rea Strong and brother, Denver Elliott preceded him in death
Bobby was loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an avid coon hunter and loved his coon dogs.
He always loved to work in and raise his garden every year and will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Reba Inez (Blair) Elliott, Gate City, VA; sons, Lynn Elliott and Jeff Elliott, both of Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Kevin Elliott and wife, Becky, Gate City, VA and Tanya Street and husband, Seth, Richlands, VA; great grandchildren, Morgan Elliott and Hunter Street; sister, Shelby Stallard and husband, James, Snowflake, VA; along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Clayton Williams officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the Midway community of Scott County, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
