Mary Belle Easterling – Nickelsville, VA. Mary Belle Easterling, 90, of Nickelsville, VA, July 16, 2009 has gone home to be with the Lord.
Born in Scott County, VA on March 7, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Lonnie Harris and Nannie M. Addington Harris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis David Easterling, sons, Jimmy Kilgore and Carl David Easterling, son-in-law, Herman Dotson and granddaughter, Dinah Ray Taylor.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Syble Ann Dotson, Jerry Faye Taylor and husband, Charlie, and Carol Lee Taylor and husband, Noah (Saucer) Taylor, Jr., sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Dale Easterling and wife, Joan, and David McNeal Easterling and wife, Debra, grandchildren, Michael Taylor and wife, Angie, Elizabeth Page and husband, Harold, Ricky Taylor and wife, December, Patricia Taylor, Noah Taylor, III and wife, Elizabeth, Russell Taylor, Lisa McCracken and husband, Mark, Kristie Pippin and husband, Harrison, Jessica Howell and husband, Richard, Pennie Easterling and fiancé , Randy Jarrett, eighteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of David and Debbie Easterling. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2009 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Ministers Howard Taylor and Lelbert Thornberg officiating. Janice Herron and Mike Mellons will provide the music.
Burial will follow the services at the Francisco Cemetery in the Big Moccasin community of Scott County, VA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Easterling's neighbors, Howard and Belinda Taylor for their love and support.
