Glen J. Eads — Hiltons, VA Glen J. Eads went to be with the Lord Monday May 2, 2011 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.

He was born in Scott County, VA on June 20, 1936 to Homer and Leora Eads. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Emily Sue Eads; his parents Homer Jackson Eads and Leora Eads; two brothers, Col. Ray Eads and Ronald Wayne Eads.

Surviving is daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Bonham and husband Joe of Slidell, LA, two grandchildren, Mark Eads of Chicago, IL. And Sam Bonham of Slidell, LA, sisters, Ida Faye Ball of Weber City and Betty Jean Begley of Prairie View, IL, and brother, Bobby L. Eads of Church Hill, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday May 4th, 2011 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home, Gate City, VA. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at Gate City Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Porter. Music will be provided by The Easterlings.

Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday May 5th, 2011 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. The family will meet at the funeral home. Pallbearers will include Willis Shaffer, Logan Shaffer, Joe Bonham, Sam Bonham, Jason Eads, Pat Ball, David Taylor and Landon Shaffer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hiltons Elementary School in Hiltons, VA.
