Gretta Louise Dorton, 45, Dungannon, VA passed away, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her residence.
Gretta was born in Wise Co., VA on August 25, 1971. She was the daughter of Buretta and the late Carlos James Akers.
In addition to her father, her grandson, Messiah Lee Maxwell and brother, David Wayne Akers preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Shawnkaria Dorton and fiancee, Travis Hall; son, Dakota Dorton; grandchildren, Amora Maxwell, Konnor Dingus and an angel on the way; mother, Buretta Akers, Flatwoods, VA; sister, Dena Addington; brothers, Jeff Akers, Jerry Akers and Danny Akers; special friends, Danny Ray Laney, Pamela Akers, Victoria Lane, and Ada Dingus; along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Akers Family Cemetery, Dungannon, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gate City Funeral Home to help family with expenses.
