Doris (Houseright) McDavid – Weber City, VA

Doris Jean McDavid, 72, Weber City, VA passed away, Thursday, August 1, 2024, at her residence.

Doris was born April 8, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Marshall Frank and Nell (Flanary) Houseright.

In addition to her parents, her 

husband, Robert Earl McDavid, and brothers, Frank and William Houseright.

Doris is survived by her partner of 20 years, Darrell Christian, sons, Eddie Rhea and wife, Becky, and Kevin McDavid and wife, Jessica, grandchildren, Maci Rhea, Ian, Conner, and Colin McDavid, sister, Barbara Hensley and husband, Ralph, and Ricky Houseright, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00p.m.-1:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2024, in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of Gate City Funeral Home. 

Burial will follow the receiving of friends at the Hensley Cemetery, Gate City, VA with Rev. Jimmy Darnell officiating. 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
