Reba Dishner, entered into rest January 1, 2009 at Wexford House, Kingsport, TN.
She was born in Scott County, VA to the late Worley Ray Miller and Suda Taylor Miller. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jamie Dishner; daughter, Shelby Jean Dishner; son, Bruce Dishner; two sisters, Mabel Clendenin and Joyce Edwards; brothers, Luther, Ray, RJ, and Cellous Miller; granddaughter, Cindy Dishner.
She was a member of Natural Tunnel Freewill Baptist Church and in her later years attended Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Babb and husband, James, Kingsport, TN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Claude Dishner and wife, Ginsey, Simpsonville, SC, J.C. Dishner, Kingsport, TN, David Dishner and wife, Georgia, Hiltons, VA; sister, Dorothy Tipton, Gate City, VA; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Robert "Buddy" Legg and Eulogy will be given by James Babb. Music will be provided by the Salley's Chapel Quartet.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
