Charles “Charlie” Lee Dishner, Sr. – Church Hill, TN
Charles “Charlie” Lee Dishner, Sr., 81, Church Hill, TN passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Dishner was born in Sullivan County, TN on September 3, 1935, the son of the late John William and Mary Madge (Gardner) Dishner.
He was a farmer and a loving family man.
In addition to his parents, his loving wife of 61 years, Agnes Jeanette (Skeen) Dishner; son, Phillip Dale Dishner; daughter, Barbara Jeanette (Dishner) Maness; grandson, Thomas Lee Dishner; brothers, Clarence, Claude, Russell and Jim Dishner; sister, Belle Hartsock preceded him in death.
Surviving is his sons, Charles Dishner, Jr. and wife Sheila, Jeff Dishner, all of Church Hill, TN, Danny Dishner, of the home, and Johnny Dishner, Kingsport, TN; daughters, Shirley Dishner and fiance, Calvin Bowles, GA, Ann Osborne and husband, Charles, Chuckey, TN, Amy Dishner, Mt. Carmel, TN, Sally Frost and husband, Marty, Church Hill, TN; 24 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; brothers, John Hugh, William(Bill), and Mack Dishner; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Freedom Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Bellamy Cemetery, Stanley Valley Community, Church Hill, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. for graveside services.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Wellmont ICU and Wilcox Hall 3rd Floor, to Amedisys Hospice, and to the ETSU Physicians for their care of dad.
