Agnes Jeanette (Skeen) Dishner – Church Hill, TN

Mrs. Agnes Jeanette Dishner, 77, Church Hill, TN passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 surrounded by her children and loved ones at Brookhaven Manor.

Mrs. Dishner was born in Russell County, VA on September 29, 1934, the daughter of the late William Arthur and Elizabeth Jane Riner Skeen.

In addition to her parents, her son, Phillip Dishner; grandson, Tommy Dishner; sisters, Gladys Henard and Gracie Wilkerson; brothers, Charlie, Banner, Lloyd, Edward, James, Slemp, and John A. Skeen preceded her in death.

Surviving is her husband and love of her life, Charles Lee "Charlie" Dishner, Sr., Church Hill, TN; children, Barbara and Paul Maness, Jr., Kingsport, TN, Shirley Dishner, Church Hill, TN, Ann and Charles Osborne, Chuckey, TN, Charles Lee and Sheila Dishner, Jr., Church Hill, TN, Johnny Dishner and Gail Lawson, Kingsport, TN, Danny Dishner, Church Hill, TN, Jeff Dishner, Church Hill, TN, Amy Dishner, Mount Carmel, TN, and Sally and Marty Frost, Church Hill, TN; 24 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ruth Smith and Nannie Bell Wright; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times as the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Bellamy-Dishner Family Cemetery, Church Hill, TN. Barbara, Shirley, Ann, Junior, Jeff, Amy, and Sally will serve as pallbearers. Johnny Dishner and Danny Dishner will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookhaven Manor and Amedisys Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Dishner.
