Jonathan Daniel Dingus, Kingsport, TN

Jonathan Daniel Dingus, 41, of Kingsport, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Holston Valley Hospital.

Jonathan was born in Sullivan County on April 20, 1981, to Cathy Emery and Charlie Dingus, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Jonathan loved spending time with his boys, riding his motorcycle, and fishing. He was known to have a huge giving heart who would help anyone he could.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother and step father, Cathy Emery and husband, Thomas, Kingsport, TN; father and step-mother, Charlie Dingus, Jr. and wife, Beverly, Gate City, VA; sons, Jonathan Dingus, Jr., Gate City, VA, Isaiah Dingus, Gate City, VA; sisters, April Dingus Fisher and husband, Joe, Ft. Blackmore, VA; step-sisters, Desiree Mayo and husband, Caleb, Gate City, VA, Michelle Emery, Florida; brothers, Clifford Lawson, Jr., Kingsport, TN, Joseph Dingus and wife, Virginia, Surgoinsville, TN, Joshua Dingus and wife, Jennifer, Big Rock TN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 1:00 p.m.~2:00 p.m., at Gate City Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Sanders and Evangelist Gorman McMurray officiating. Music will be provided by Freddie Carter and Jeb Carter.

A graveside service will be conducted after the funeral service at the Dingus Family Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
