Jerri Ellen Davenport – Jonesboro, TN
Jerri Davenport, 61, Jonesboro, TN went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Born March 23, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Edward Paul and Pauline Charlie Vanderpool Osborne.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved her family and the Lord, and she will be greatly missed. She retired from Eastman Kodak and was a member of Feathers Chapel Church, Blountville, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Charlotte Hughes.
Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Rowe and husband, Mike, Kingsport, TN and April Graybeal and husband, Melvin, Jonesboro, TN; grandchildren, Ciera Graybeal, Dustin Greear, and Andrew Gilliam; great grandchildren, Colin Gilliam and Jarison Gilliam; brother, Douglas Osborne and wife, Gloria, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bill Carrier of Feathers Chapel Church and Pastor Jason Hand officiating. April McNew and Tim Baldwin will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Holston View Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be meeting at the cemetery for the graveside service.
