Alan was born in Sullivan County, Tennessee on June 13, 1965 to Jewel Bledsoe Perry and the late Mitchell Martin Darnell (2008).
In addition to his father, his step father, Mack Perry (2008) preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Jewel Perry, Gate City, VA; sister, Laura Denise Darnell, Gate City, VA; brother, Bobby Ray Darnell, Gate City, VA; nieces, Brittany Darnell, Kingsport, TN, Nevaeh Darnell, Gate City, VA, and Destiny Darnell, Gate City, VA; nephews, Bobby Ray Darnell, Jr., Gate City, VA, Christopher Alan Darnell, Gate City, VA, Trevor Darnell, Gate City, VA, Matthew Darnell, Gate City, VA, Travis Darnell, Gate City, VA, and Michael Darnell, Gate City, VA.
It was the express wish of Alan to be cremated.
