Curtis Ray Reed

Curtis Ray Reed, born March 18, 1937, passed away October 11, 2024. He was a wonderful husband and loving father.

Curtis served in the U.S. Army for 3 years followed by 4 years in the National Guard. He was a skilled carpenter and a knowledgeable supervisor over many major projects.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Clifton Reed of 52 years; his parents, Kyle and Ada McDavid Reed; and brothers, Denver, Kay, and Ed Reed.

Surviving are his daughters, Anita Reed and Barbara Weidmann; granddaughter, Taylor Howes (Courtney); brother, Ronald Reed; sister, Pat Reed Tate (Gerald); sister-in-law, Phyllis Gibson Reed; special friends, Bob Gilliam and Richard Thomson; and special companion, Harley.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 12-4p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the home of Gerald and Pat Tate, 539 Cool Hollow Drive, Gate City, VA. 24251.
