Mrs. Patsy Hilton Craft, Gate City, VA
Mrs. Patsy Hilton Craft, 87, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019.
Mrs. Craft was born on January 22, 1932 in Nickelsville, VA to the late Ernest Hilton and the late Juanita (Bond) Hilton. She graduated from Nickelsville High School and attended Whitney School of Business. She worked for a law firm in Kingsport for several years.
She is also preceded in death by her husband Ryland G. Craft, Jr. and her brother-in-law, Paul McNew.
Mrs. Craft will be best remembered for her engaging interaction with whom she encountered. She loved and kept abreast of current events and especially loved the arts. She loved to shop and socialize with friends. Her greatest source of love and her proudest achievement was her son.
She is survived by her son Ryland G. Craft, III and wife Deborah Jones Craft of Kennesaw, GA; two grandsons, J. Tyler Craft, Atlanta GA, and Jordan T. Craft and wife Kristen Szewczyk Craft, Nashville, TN; a great-granddaughter, Kinsley Lauren Craft, Atlanta, GA; sister, Linda Hilton McNew, Lebanon, VA; special niece, Nikki McNew Phillips, Lebanon, VA; special cousin, Katherine Barr, Charlotte, NC.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday June 16, 2019 at Gate City Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Mark Asbury officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. J. Tyler Craft, Jordan T. Craft, David Phillips, Lance Phillips, Danny Smith, and Tim Wells will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Hilton, Doug Hilton, Greg Carter, Ryland Jennings, and Jim Anderson.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
