Eva Nell Collins – Kingsport, TN
Eva Nell Kimbler Collins received the greatest gift of all on her 80th birthday; that of eternal life in her heavenly home on June 1, 2011.
Born in Kingsport, Tennessee on June 1, 1931 to the late Andy and Jane Renfro Kimbler, she resided in the Lynn Garden area of Kingsport her entire life. She was a member of Oak Drive Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stacy Wayne Kimbler in June of 2009, and nephew, Timothy Kimbler.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Fred Collins, Kingsport, TN; nephews, Stacy Andrew Kimbler and Travis Wayne Kimbler, both of Kingsport, TN; three great nieces, Alayna, Amanda, and Trinity Kimbler; a special cousin, Duane Shoemaker; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hillman, Fall Branch, TN; brothers-in-law, Paul Collins and wife, Ruth, Bluff City, TN, and Howard Collins and wife, Imogene, Kingsport, TN, and Clyde Collins and wife, Ruth, Gate City, VA; an uncle, aunts, nephews, several cousins, nieces, and many good friends and neighbors. She truly loved them all.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Curt Williams officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon, Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Andy Kimbler, Travis Kimbler, Jimmy Collins, David Collins, Roy McClellan, Ray Austin will serve as pallbearers. Paul Collins, Clyde Collins, Howard Collins, Duane Collins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m., Saturday to go in procession to the graveside service.
