Claude Kelly Peters – Weber City, VA

Claude Kelly Peters, 82, Weber City, VA passed away, Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Claude was born in Scott County, VA on January 28, 1942, and was the son of the late Bascom S. and Mae (Taylor) Peters.

He was a well-loved brother and friend to all who knew him. His nieces and nephews were very special to him, as he was to them. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, his sisters, Dorothy Adinolfi, Dana Bowen, and Wanda Peters, and brothers, Allen, Preston, and Cecil Peters preceded him in death.

Claude is survived by his sisters, Mary Jo Peters and Judy Peters, and brothers, Harlan Peters and wife, Velma, Gary “Bill” Peters and wife, Barbara, and Nelson Peters and wife, Brenda, along with many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2024, in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Richard K. Dice.

Burial will follow the service at the Oak Glenn Church Cemetery, in the Yuma community of Gate City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend special thanks to good friend and caretaker Doris Whitley for her loving care and friendship.
