Clara Mae Gehman – Kingsport, TN

Clara Mae Gehman, 80, Kingsport, TN passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Holston Valley Medical Center.

Clara was born in Eidson, TN on June 6, 1944, to the late Charlie and Minnie Winstead Massengill.

In addition to her parents, her husband, David Gordon Gehman; special nephew, Eddie Williams and 9 siblings preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Statzer, Marjorie Palmer, Anna Palmer; sisters, Paralee Goins, Annie Nell and G.C. Bledsoe, Mary Massengill; brother, Elvis and Anita Massengill; grandchildren, Cyndi Statzer, Heather Palmer, Miranda and Steve Lawson; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 5-7p.m. at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dakota Seals officiating. Cause One will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
