Christopher Wayne Rhoton, 43, Surgoinsville, TN, passed away, Monday, November 11, 2024, at Ballad Hospice House.

Christopher was born on January 18, 1981, in Sullivan County, TN, and was the son of Billy Wayne Rhoton, and Christina Renee Irving.

Preceding Christopher in death are his grandfather, Ralph Lawson; grandmother, Kate Rhoton; and uncles, Sam Lawson, Jeff Lawson, and JD Rhoton.

Left to cherish his memory are his father Billy Rhoton (Dorinda); mother, Christina Irving; son, Garrett Rhoton; stepdaughter, Porsha Moyer; sister, Michelle Gilland (Steven); brothers, Keith and Kevin McConnell; step granddaughter, Nova; grandparents, Bill Rhoton (Virgie), and Shirley Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-1p.m., Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Salling Cemetery in the Slant Community with AJ Lane officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
