Charles B Sluss

Charles B. Sluss, 80 of Nickelsville VA passed away Friday, July 21st after a period of declining health. 

Charles worked at Holston Defense and Scott County Co-op. He served on the Scott County Board of Supervisors as Supervisor as Large.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ballard Sluss and Lois Sweeney Sluss. Sisters Estelle Richmond, Margaret Lou Meade, and Brenda Jesse. Brothers Herschel Sluss, Don Sluss, Mack Sluss, Ben Sluss and an infant brother Oscar Fred Sluss. 

He is survived by one sister Virginia “Jenny” Campbell of Nickelsville. One special niece and caregiver Sherry Robinson and husband Greg. Special great great niece who he loved getting visits from, Ivy Willis. Several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be John Davidson and Jack Meade. 

Graveside services will be Sunday, July 23rd at 2 pm at the Ben Sluss Memorial Cemetery, Twin Springs Rd, Dungannon, VA. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
