David R. Casteel – Ft. Blackmore, VA Mr. David R. Casteel, 52, Ft. Blackmore, VA passed away, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Casteel was born in Sullivan County, TN on August 5, 1958. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Banner Casteel. He was a formerly employed by A&L Construction. He is survived by his wife, Missy Casteel, Ft. Blackmore, VA; mother, Delma Mae Hall Casteel, Ft. Blackmore, VA; sister, Wanda Trent Templeton, Church Hill, TN; step-son, Phillip Starnes, Ft. Blackmore; father-in-law, Doll Casteel, Gate City, VA and his three babies, Lady, Whiskey, and Princess. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Jake Pyle officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Lawson Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
