Cynthia E. (Hughes) Casteel, 58, Weber City, VA passed away, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Cindy was born in New York City, NY on June 3, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Edward Clifton and Charlotte Dougherty Hughes.
She was a graduate of Gate City High School and retired from DOMTAR (formerly the Mead), Kingsport, TN.
She was a loving and caring person to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, her son, Clifton Casteel preceded her in death.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Marissa Jones, Chase Neely, Nick Jones, and their mother, Tina Jones, and Julianna Casteel, Kaleb Casteel, and their mother, Jennifer Casteel; brother, Ronnie Hughes and wife, Susan; niece, Megan Hughes; boyfriend, Donnie Dockery; and her special cousins, Lisa Self , April Greear and Bill Osborne; along with many friends.
It was the wish of Cindy to be cremated and her Cremains to be buried with her son, Clifton at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:45 a.m. for the memorial graveside service.
