Patsy Gearlene Cassell, 84, Gate City, VA passed away, Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Patsy was born in Scott County, VA on September 12, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Luther and Lula Casteel Sexton.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Alfred William “Hagan” Cassell, sisters, Lois Seaver and Louise Crowe, and brothers, Worley, Cecil, Harold, and Bruce Sexton preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Penny Fadil and husband, Driss, and Keisha Pruett, who was her daughter by love, sisters, Lois Lynn Sexton, and Mike Jones, and Sandra Kay Sexton, her special niece, Christina Winston, special great nieces and nephew, Hayla, Emmalyn Elizabeth, and Kaiden Winston, several other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, special friends, Cathy Trent and Charlene Miller, and her special fur baby, Gracie Ann.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Roger Estep officiating. Charlene will provide the music.
Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Wade Sexton, Chris Winston, David Winston, Austin Williams, and Mike Jones will serve as pallbearers.
