Donald Wayne Cassell, 67, Nickelsville, VA went Home, Monday, September 7, 2015 in Weber City, VA.
Mr. Cassell was born in Russell County, VA on September 15, 1947. He was the son of the late Earl and Sophie Breeding Cassell.
He was a retired truck driver with Southwest Tractor, and had great love for all of his animals.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Eva Hughes and brothers, Carl and Walter Cassell preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline Cassell, Nickelsville, VA; daughters, Kim Shoemaker and husband , Allen, Lebanon, VA and Tammy Beckham and husband, Rodney, Nickelsville, VA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Durham and husband, Ray, Bristol, VA, Joshua Shoemaker, Lebanon, VA, Gracie Shoemaker, Lebanon, VA, and Kaylee Beckham, Nickelsville, VA; great grandchildren, Myah and Aliyah Durham, Bristol, VA; sister, Danah Johnson and husband, Floyd, Lebanon, VA; brother, Junior Cassell, Lebanon, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 –p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Guy Elam officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dean Family Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
