Mary Magalene Carter, 78, Kingsport, TN passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center.
Mrs. Carter was born in Scott County, VA on January 21, 1934 to the late Bob and Cordia Dingus.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Charles Carter; brothers, Charlie, Troy, Roy, Orbin, and Emmitt Dingus; and a sister, Rosa Vickers preceded her in death.
She is survived by her brothers, John Dingus and wife, Bernice, Bill Dingus and wife, Kathy, and Jim Dingus and wife, Peggy; sisters, Kate Chase, Bobbie Sanders and husband, Russell, Nellie Watson, Faye Hall, Helen Lawson and husband, Odell, and Sue Puckett and husband, Charles; special nephew, Johnny Hall, along with several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 at Pendleton's Church, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 with Rev. Charles Puckett and Rev. Kevin Sanders officiating. Jeff Watson and Chris Holder will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Dingus Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
