Paul Henry Carrico, 76, Gate City, VA passed away Tuesday. September 8, 2020 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital. Kingsport, TN.
He was born in Scott County, VA on May 2, 1944 to the late Isley Ruben and Nannie Jane (Gillenwater) Carrico.
He was a loyal father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was loved by all. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.
In addition to his parents; the mother of his children, Linda (Bowen) Carrico; brothers, Mack Carrico, Cecil Carrico and Fred Carrico preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Paula Carrico and Keith Wallen, Duffield, VA, Nikki McCarty and husband, Corey, Nickelsville, VA; sisters, Patsy Jones and husband, James, Gate City, VA, Vickey Jones, Kingsport, TN, Dot Brickey and husband, Broadus, Winston Salem, NC, Betty Carrico, Nickelsville, VA; brothers, Gary Carrico and wife, Lucia, Rogersville, TN and Ray Carrico, Midway, VA; grandchildren, Anna Grace Proctor, Taylor Kay Proctor and Kaylin McCarty; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m., Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Sean Bailey officiating. Jeffery Meade, Ashley Meade, Rena Meade, and Zack Miller will provide the music.
Burial will follow the service at the Fraley Cemetery, Duffield, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
