Carolyn Sue (Jones) Wheeler, 80. Gate City, VA passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Ridgecrest Manor, Duffield, VA.

She was born in Carol, IL on August 22, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Russell Frank and Georgia Ethel (Bowling) Jones.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Wayne Tinsley, Gate City, VA, her daughter and son Jane, and Christopher Howard, stepchildren, Christina (Ryan) Joppa, and Bobby Tinsley, grandchildren, Tristen, Breana, Tyler, Austin, Devan, Ashley, and Matthew, great grandchildren, Adaline and Arimenda, and her sister, Martha Ackland.

It was the wish of Carolyn to be cremated with no formal services at this time.
