Calvin Lewis Dean, 97, Hawkins County, TN, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Life Care Center of Morristown.

Calvin was born in Olive Hill, KY, on November 14, 1926, to the late Elbert Dean and Mary Lou (Owens) Dean.

In addition to his parents, his wife Nora Leon Dean; and brothers, Elbert Dean, Rodgers Dean, and twin brother, Lloyd Dean preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter-in-law, Barb Mencke, Cleveland OH; son, Gary Maness (Carolyn), Rogersville, TN; sister-in-law, Shirley Dean, Cleveland OH; grandchildren, Tabitha Salyer, Nathan Maness, Jennifer Bowman, Candice Mencke, and Willie Mencke; several great grandchildren; nieces, Toni Perk, and Allison Whickham; and nephews Rory Dean, and Rian Dean.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00a.m., at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
