Thomas "Tommy" Bush, 71, Duffield, VA passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Bush was born in Scott County, VA on July 20, 1940, the son of the late Orbin Henry and Gertrude Lucas Bush.
In addition to his parents, his infant daughter, Angelee Bush, son, Michael Bush; sisters, Maxine Blair, Betty Prescott, Gaynell Dean, and Phyllis Colley;brothers, George A. Bush, Grover Bush, and John Bush preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Anderson Bush, Duffield, VA; daughter, Amy and Thomas Bowen, Duffield, VA; step-son, Randall Bowers, Kingsport, TN; step-daughters, Tammy Templeton, Gate City, VA and Elizabeth Campbell, Jonesborough, TN; sister, Iona Robinette and husband, Willie, Nickelsville, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Charlie Taylor officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Begley Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Sons-In-Law and Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Danny Anderson, John Campbell, Al Hurd, Keith Wilson, Fred Burton, and Ester Baker will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
