Gary Lee Bryant, 57, Dungannon, VA passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 after an extended battle with pancreatic cancer.
Gary was born in Sullivan County, TN on October 5, 1957 to Clarence and Tempie Estep Bryant, Nickelsville, VA. He was a loving father, husband, son and brother .He owned and operated Gary’s Auto Service in Gate City for 26 years. Gary had a passion for horses, hunting and restoring older trucks.
In addition to his parents; Gary is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Melissa Lucas Bryant, Dungannon, VA; daughters, Bailee Bryant, Dungannon, VA and Jessica Boatwright, Norton, VA; sister, Deborah Belcher, Nickelsville, VA; grandchild, Austin Kilgore; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Funeral Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Collins and Dr. Todd Castle officiating. David and Debbie Easterling will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Lucas Family Cemetery, Nickelsville, VA. Basil Thomas, George Ramey, Lonnie Lucas, Jeff Lucas, Doug Kilgore, Frank Taylor, Kevin Lucas, Justin Lucas will serve as pallbearers. Johnny Gilmer, Randy Hillman, Don Lucas, Dewey Baldwin, Bob Frazier, Mike Begley, Steve Vermillion, Stoney Fuller, Lynn Brickey, and J.R. Hensley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
